Teachers are not perfect — because a teacher is, first and foremost, a human.

Volodymyr Pererva is a 2021–2023 Teach for Ukraine Fellowship alumnus and currently the principal of Secondary School No. 62 in Lviv. A history teacher by profession, he previously worked as a TV host and project editor at “Suspilne Lviv.” In 2021, he joined the Teach for Ukraine Fellowship program and began teaching at Kalynivka Academic Lyceum in the Kyiv region.

A Career in Education After Teach for Ukraine Fellowship: The Story of Anastasiia Sapsai

Anastasiia Sapsai, a 2021–2023 alumna of the Teach for Ukraine Fellowship program, was previously a graphic designer and book blogger. Today, she is the director of the Kalynivka Village Council’s Municipal Out-of-School Education Institution “Center for Youth Development.”

Maria Hayduk

She taught history at Zhukynska Secondary School. She currently works as a social worker at the Center for Social Support for Orphans, Children Deprived of Parental Care, and Internally Displaced Persons.

Anastasiia Hubareva

Taught history at Ivanivska Secondary School I-III degrees.

Anastasiia Bieliayeva

Taught Ukrainian literature at Teplodarska Secondary School. Now leads the NGO “ZNOvU.”

Anna Koval

Taught art at Skolivska Secondary School (village Kozova). Works as a graphic designer.

Olha Koval

Taught English at Pershotravnevyi Educational Complex. Currently serves on the board and as Project Manager at the NGO “ZNOvU.”

Yulia Malaiko

Taught history at Khotiv Educational Complex. Now she is serving as a teacher at the Ukrainian Saturday Catechetical School of the UGCC in Athens.

Taught mathematics at Usativskyi Educational Complex. Currently teaches at the Volyn Vocational College of the National University of Food Technologies.

Taught mathematics at Sokal Secondary School. Heads educational programs at the physics-mathematics project #brobots and at the NGO “ZNOvU,” also serving as Co-Founder.

Taught mathematics at Prymorska Secondary School. Currently leads the NGO “Safe.”

Taught English at Prymorska Secondary School. Engaged as a mentor for participants of the Teach for Ukraine Fellowship program at the Teach For Ukraine NGO.
