What skills and experiences do participants develop?
What Participants Get:

6 weeks of intensive training before starting to work;
22 individual mentorship sessions;
18 methodological consultations;
60 hours of in-person training.

Participation includes official employment in a school.
Fellows receive a teacher’s salary and a guaranteed scholarship from the Teach for Ukraine.

Participants join a like-minded community, form meaningful connections, receive branded merchandise, and attend internal and external events (including those hosted by partners and friends of the organization).

Frequently Asked Questions
A school must meet the following criteria:
- Located outside a regional capital, in a town or village with fewer than 25, 000 residents
- Has teaching vacancies in grades 5–11
- Demonstrates a commitment to developing a school environment that supports children and youth
- Has an operational bomb shelter
- Enrolls at least 100 students in middle and high school
Each school goes through several steps before joining the program:
- Completing an application
- Online interview with our team
- In-person school visit by our team
If the partnership looks promising, school representatives are invited to the Summer Institute to meet program participants in person.
Then we visit the community, sign a memorandum, and arrange employment for the participants.
The greatest demand in small communities is for STEM teachers — specialists in mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, as well as English language instructors.
We welcome both newcomers and experienced teachers alike.

These skills are highly transferable and beneficial across many professions, especially those involving collaboration, leadership, and facilitation.
According to the Law on Education, individuals without a teaching degree can be invited to teach in schools.
Teach For Ukraine supports participants in developing strong pedagogical skills, regardless of their previous education or professional background.
You’ll go through a six-stage selection process, which includes a trial teaching experience with students.
A key component of your preparation is the Summer Institute, an intensive training program that includes approximately 200 hours of coursework, including hands-on classroom practice.
