The public organization Teach For Ukraine and the international company DHL International Ukraine are launching a joint initiative — the GoTeach project — aimed at supporting young people in Ukraine. This initiative focuses on helping schoolchildren identify their future career paths and develop the skills necessary for successful professional growth.
The program’s goal is to motivate youth to learn, as understanding personal goals and having a clear plan makes the learning process more engaging and effective. This project is especially relevant in the context of war, when many children experience frustration and uncertainty about their future. The program seeks to provide youth not only with essential knowledge but also with confidence in their abilities — a key element for a successful transition from education to the workforce.
As part of the partnership between Teach For Ukraine and DHL, students will have the opportunity to visit the company’s office, participate in career meetings with DHL management and specialists, and take part in workshops on resume writing and job interviews. The project will launch activities starting April 2024.
Additionally, program participants will develop a variety of skills, including career planning, teamwork, communication, analytical thinking, and understanding corporate culture.
GoTeach is designed to equip participants with employment-related skills, as many schoolchildren lack adequate preparation for job searching and career building. The program offers opportunities to improve resume writing, interview techniques, and other important professional skills.
A crucial element of GoTeach is to stimulate motivation for learning among students. Many do not see the connection between education and future careers. The program will help them realize this important link and understand how learning can help achieve their goals. Moreover, GoTeach offers development opportunities, especially in rural communities where youth face limited chances for self-realization. The program organizes meetings with successful professionals, training sessions, and other activities that help reveal each participant’s potential.
