Dmytro conducts lessons aimed at overcoming learning gaps, founded the “Happy Ground Squirrels” scout group, runs Saturday clubs and board game nights, and organized a meeting with scouts from Odesa. Our students joined them, went caroling, raised money for the Armed Forces, helped prepare for the school fair, and participated in an olympiad, where they won a prize. He also volunteers at the school.
Dmytro is extremely active. He’s excited about teaching, celebrates every successful lesson, and plans to pursue a degree in education. He has united students around him, earns respect, and receives praise from both students and parents. He overflows with ideas and energy. For winter break, he’s even organizing a trip to Ternopil with students and parents. We’re actively trying to keep him at our school after the program ends.

The theater club is very active. Students get to express themselves outside the classroom. Thanks to Viktoriia, musical talents in our school have been revealed. Oleksa prepares thoroughly and looks for new ways to spark interest and involve everyone. She runs career guidance activities and helps prepare students for the NMT. For us, Teach For Ukraine Fellowship program is about bringing energetic, creative young people into small rural schools. It helps bridge the gap between large urban schools and small village ones in terms of education quality.

Ms. Mariia fit into our team very well. It’s a pleasure to work with her. We wish we had more such active and smart people around, they make things easier and better. The leadership course for school administrators is an extremely valuable experience. We’re eagerly awaiting the next session.

Interest in math has increased significantly. Students not only enjoy the lessons, but are happy to attend them. Above all, thank you again for the opportunity to join the Teach For Ukraine Fellowship program. For me, it’s a chance to bring in young and creative people without stereotypes. For the school, it’s a fresh take on old methods. This year, our cooperation with NGO Teach For Ukraine has become even more fruitful in terms of professional learning.

Everyone feels Bohdan’s impact — teachers, students, even the librarian he assists. He motivates people to join various projects and competitions, helps with all kinds of student initiatives, and organizes local history trips.

This is a “breath of fresh air” in our daily work. We are open and have full trust in the NGO Teach for Ukraine team. The participant, Danylo, has led many initiatives: the “Cossack Museum” project, movie screenings, cinema trips with students, a masterclass on traditional jewelry for Cossack Day, and filling the village library with new books.

What drew us to the program was its forward-thinking approach to education, fresh perspectives on teaching, and young, energetic, and ambitious teachers coming into schools. One of the most valuable aspects is the community of participating school administrators — the trainings and meetings offer space to learn, share ideas, and grow. Working with the NGO Teach for Ukraine a team is smooth and collaborative, they’re always open to dialogue. The program’s structure, vision, and goals match modern standards and are truly important.

The “Scythian Gold” club has become a favorite among students. They gain extra knowledge, build camaraderie, and discuss various issues. The atmosphere is cheerful and supportive — they watch historical films, and Svitlana often brings sweets. The program is excellent. It’s evolving and transforming. Our team is growing, and participants discover what it means to work in rural schools while bringing in innovation.

The Teach For Ukraine Fellowship program offers enriching interactions with young, creative teachers. It promotes professional growth — to not stop at what’s already been achieved, to improve both professional and leadership skills among the teaching staff. It introduces exciting new approaches to education. Extracurricular activities for 5th graders in the form of electives allow students to deepen and broaden their understanding of certain math topics and develop skills to tackle more complex problems. Project-based work combines knowledge and action, a powerful way to unite the school community and ignite interest in subjects. Our participant plans to expand these projects to include not just 7th graders but other classes, as well.

After visiting Dmytro’s class in person, I saw how he used digital tools and engaged students through active learning. He encouraged individual thinking through collaborative play. The main goal was achieved: students were active and interested. There were no specific expectations, just the hope to spark interest in the subject and teach effectively. That goal was met: students enjoy the teacher, and parents are happy their children are excited. As a result, the subject is better learned. Despite the challenges of martial law, hybrid learning, and air raids, students come after school to meet with Julia for conversations. She uses methods that children enjoy and balances creativity, discipline, and learning. Though she lacked prior experience and the subject — math — is difficult, even after the first week, we received praise from parents and felt relieved. Today, everyone is pleased with her work. For me, it’s new people and a fresh experience. For our institution, excellent teachers without burnout, ready to work and face today’s challenges.

Our expectations of the Teach For Ukraine Fellowship participant were fully met. She energizes and uplifts everyone. We can confidently say she is a teacher of a new generation. She leads a career guidance club, organizes trips and meetings between students and inspiring professionals. With 6th grade students, she is implementing an environmental project on water purification methods. The project is timely and promising. It introduces us to global educational experiences and progressive schools in Ukraine. Thanks to the program, young teachers with an innovative vision of education are entering the field, inspiring positive change.

Tetiana, a participant of the Teach For Ukraine Fellowship program, has been a real find for our team. She joined the working group for preparing school board decisions, offered specific proposals for school improvement, formed a girls’ team for STEM projects, and together they won 3rd place at a national festival. She also runs a career guidance club.
Alina is establishing a youth council in the P’yadyky community and is one of the initiators of the “P’yadytska Moloteka” youth space project. We’ve relaunched student self-government in the lyceum.

Not only students and parents are satisfied. Word about our Alla has spread across the community. Parents share their impressions, and in some cases, it even becomes the reason for students transferring to our school from other institutions.
The podcast “Sviati Petrivtsi” is being released. We organize movie viewings with students followed by discussions.
We host mixed-age gatherings to play board games. A lot of attention is given to personal conversations with students. Alla helped shoot and edit a video with English subtitles that allowed us to secure funding for building a shelter for civilians, improving our safety conditions.
Both within the NGO Teach For Ukraine team and at our lyceum, we see mature, thoughtful people who know how to communicate and truly listen. For us, NGO Teach For Ukraine is a partner in organizing, improving, and modernizing the educational process.
