The Ukrainians is an independent Ukrainian media outlet that tells stories about people, ideas, and values that are changing our society. Ninth-grade students from the Petrivskyi Lyceum of the Petrivska Village Council, where Inna Stokratna teaches Ukrainian language and literature, visited the media’s office.

During the tour, the students learned how publications are created, discovered the secrets behind writing powerful texts, explored the genre of literary reportage, and discussed the importance of honesty in journalism.
“This was my first official excursion, and I was really nervous — but the wonderful ninth-graders made the experience feel as smooth and warm as possible,” Inna shared.
The conversation with the editorial team inspired the students to believe in their own ability to create reportages for their own projects and highlighted the value of every story.
The students not only got to see how The Ukrainians office operates but also received a gift — two issues of Reporters magazine! These magazines are now proudly placed on the bookcrossing shelf at the lyceum, where anyone at school can read them.
