28 Kilometers from the Front: How Students of a Destroyed Zaporizhzhia School Continue to Learn
Zaporizhzhia is among the top three Ukrainian cities for the highest number of air raid alerts: since February 2022, nearly 7,000 sirens have sounded here. The city lives in a state of constant anticipation—sirens, power outages, and buildings shattered by enemy shelling. Among them is the "Dzherelo" (The Source) boarding school. This institution serves children with hearing impairments, musculoskeletal disorders, and Down syndrome. In September 2023, the school building was struck by a UAV.

“Every child has a unique story and life experience”: the story of a teacher from Mykolaiv region who helps students overcome educational losses
To help lyceum students fill in the gaps in their knowledge, English teacher Iryna Lisochko and her colleagues joined the NGO Teach for Ukraine's project “Tutoring Catch-Up Centres: Overcoming Learning Losses in Emergencies,” which the organization is implementing with the assistance of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in Ukraine and with financial support from Norway.

III Strategic Forum by the NGO Teach for Ukraine: Joint Solutions for Recovering Learning Losses During Wartime
27 листопада відбувся III Щорічний стратегічний форум з надолуження освітніх втрат від громадської організації «Навчай для України», організований за підтримки глобального фонду Education Cannot Wait (ECW) за підтримки Міністерства освіти і науки України. Подія об’єднала 170 учасників та учасниць – представників держави, громадських організацій, міжнародних донорів – для обговорення викликів та спільного пошуку рішень щодо освіти в умовах війни. У програмі форуму особливу увагу приділили надолуженню освітніх втрат дітей: їхній академічній та соціоемоційній підтримці, розвитку менторства і peer-to-peer підтримки, обговоренню гнучких форматів навчання, адаптації програм для вразливих груп, а також професійній підтримці та розвитку педагогів.

Adolescent Wellbeing and Learning During WarA Teach For Ukraine study on the mental health of teenagers in frontline regions.
Teach For Ukraine and the research agency Fama have released the results of a study examining how the full-scale war impacts the emotional wellbeing and learning of adolescents across eight frontline regions — in schools located in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv oblasts. More than 3,400 teenagers, along with their parents, teachers and school psychologists, took part in the quantitative and qualitative stages of the research.
