Teach for Ukraine NGO and Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC): Launching New Partnership to Address Learning Losses in Ukraine
New horizons for Ukrainian education — in September 2024, Teach for Ukraine NGO and the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in Ukraine began a partnership within the framework of the Educational Soup program — Tutor Catch-up Centers: Effective Learning in Emergency Situations. This program to overcome learning losses aims to help children affected by the war return to education and improve their academic skills.

Supporting Talented Students in Math: the “Do Math in Ukraine!” Program by Teach for Ukraine NGO and Saga Education
In August 2024, Teach for Ukraine NGO partnered with Saga Education — a leading provider of math tutoring services in the United States — to run a four-week program called Do Math in Ukraine!. This program offered free online group tutoring sessions in English, aligned with the Ukrainian school curriculum, for students in grades 9–11. Classes were held twice a week, each lasting 90 minutes.

Education Under Fire: Teach for Ukraine NGO and Save the Children Launch New Project to Restore Learning in Mykolaiv and Kherson Regions
Since September 2024, Teach for Ukraine NGO, with support from the international humanitarian organization Save the Children and funding from the European Union, has been implementing the project “Ukrainian Consortium for Education Challenges Response: Safe Return to Learning” to help schools in de-occupied and frontline territories resume education amid war conditions. Together with partners, the organization assists schools in developing tailored strategies and provides necessary resources and support.

Educational SUPport program by Teach for Ukraine NGO won the Osvitoria.Media Award 2024 in the category “Education for Well-being.” In this category, the jury and media readers recognized initiatives that ensure equal access to education and make a significant contribution to education and psychological support for internally displaced children, refugees, children of military personnel and volunteers, children from de-occupied territories, as well as children with disabilities.

The First Educational SUPport Tutors’ Congress: Advancing the Fight Against Learning Losses

Teach For Ukraine Joins Consortium Under the Education Cannot Wait Fund Program
Eighteen million US dollars have been unlocked to support education in Ukraine through collaboration with the global fund Education Cannot Wait (ECW). The Executive Director of ECW, Yasmin Sherif, and Ukraine’s Minister of Education and Science, Oksen Lisovyi, announced a multi-year support program. Between 2024 and 2026, Teach For Ukraine NGO will be part of a consortium tasked with implementing projects, monitoring, and coordinating the program.
