Fifty thousand views of the “Spilno for Teachers” webinars give us reason to believe that education is always timely, especially in times of crisis. As part of the “Spilno for Teachers” project, the educational organization Teach For Ukraine NGO, supported by UNICEF Ukraine, organized a series of six online mental health support webinars for educators. Together with experts and practicing psychologists from the organization Tolerance Space, over 400 educators received valuable advice on how to maintain their own resources, analyzed cases of working with students, and explored ways to resolve conflict situations.

Getting used to full-scale war is something we don’t want — because often, for us, it means resignation. But adapting to war means survival: both psychological and physical. And we see educators adapting and learning to be flexible.

“It’s worth practicing more often what we have learned and continue to learn,” shared Olha Dudar, a participant of the webinar “Nonviolent Communication for Educators.”

And indeed, how often do we manage to apply acquired knowledge? It requires resources because it means changing behavior patterns, and our brain needs time to adapt.
Here’s a tip for you — enlist the support of your colleagues! Share knowledge and implement it together, discuss results, and support each other in your efforts.

All webinars are free and publicly available.
The webinars were organized as part of the “Spilno for Teachers” project by the educational organization Teach For Ukraine, with support from UNICEF Ukraine within the “Together for Learning” initiative, and in partnership with the public organization Tolerance Space.
