Teach for Ukraine NGO has taken another important step in expanding educational opportunities for children — we have become part of the global fundraising platform GlobalGiving. This opens new avenues to attract international support, enabling even more young leaders to transform education in villages and small communities across Ukraine.

This year marks a special milestone for our Teach For Ukraine Fellowship program, which has been operating since 2017. A student of one of our alumni has now joined us!
Yelyzaveta Shelestova teaches English at Piskivskyi Lyceum in Kyiv region. But her journey with Teach For Ukraine Fellowship began back in her school years, when her teacher was Anna Alekseeva — a participant of the 2019 program.
“The idea of joining the program stayed with me for years because I saw how Teach For Ukraine Fellowship was changing education in my school. Thanks to the program, I met a teacher who helped me find my calling — international relations and educational projects. After university and a few years working in those fields, I decided to return to Teach For Ukraine Fellowship program in a new role — now as a teacher myself. I want to support rural students in their search for themselves and share my experience,” Yelyzaveta shares.
