The “Together for Teachers” project is designed to support educators’ mental well-being and help them overcome professional challenges and difficulties during the war.
The initiative is implemented by the educational organization Teach For Ukraine, with the support of UNICEF Ukraine, as part of the “Together for Learning” initiative.

The “Together for Teachers” project includes five key components, to be gradually rolled out between September and December 2022:

An online course developed in partnership with EdEra, focused on professional support for teachers.
The course includes lectures on psychological well-being, teaching and communicating with children during wartime, creating a safe educational environment, and guidelines for crisis response.
Webinars with psychologists from the Tolerance Space organization, offering advice on self-care and supporting children’s learning in times of war.
A chatbot on Viber and Telegram, providing digital safety guidelines and quick, accessible resources to help teachers respond to various types of crises.
A modular professional development course, developed jointly with Institutes of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education and the NGO Pro.Svit.
In-person school visits by psychologists and educational thought leaders, who will deliver live lectures (if the security situation in the country allows).

The project co-organizer, Teach For Ukraine NGO, is part of the national Steering Committee on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Education.
To deliver high-quality support, the project also brings in professional psychologists, educational leaders, and experts in safety policy.
The online course has received an official recommendation from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The online course, chatbot, and webinars will be helpful not only for teachers, administrators, and psychologists who have lost access to their schools or had to flee their cities, but also for all educators who remain in place and continue to work under the evolving challenges of war.
Starting September 15, a series of webinars will launch.
The registration link for the first session — “How to Teach Amid Uncertainty” — will be published in a separate announcement on the organizers’ social media pages.
All project components are free of charge.
