Free Educational Program for Girls Ages 10-14: Girls4Tech

In light of the devastating impact of the Russian war on education in Ukraine and the significant gender gap in technology fields, the educational organization Teach For Ukraine NGO, supported by the international company MasterCard, announces enrollment for girls in the free training and educational program Girls4Tech.

Girls4Tech is a free online training program designed to spark girls’ interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and expand opportunities for successful careers in these areas. Throughout the program, girls will unlock their potential in technology, gain practical skills, build confidence in their abilities, and set goals for their future growth.

Our instructors aim to inspire girls to explore the world of STEM, broaden their horizons in innovation, help them identify priority areas, and learn how to shape their own educational and career paths — achieving their goals independently.

For Teach For Ukraine, this is already the sixth urgent educational aid project during the war. Thanks to previous waves, more than 10,000 children of various ages have received quality lessons aligned with the school curriculum and support during these challenging times. This wave specifically focuses on helping girls who want to pursue technical specialties but hesitate due to stereotypes and lack of information.

The current project focuses on the following areas: the digital world, big data, digital footprints, and artificial intelligence. During the autumn break, participants will have 4 sessions in each direction, plus meetings with star experts in each field. In total, 5 days with 4 hours of daily lessons throughout the week.

Age group: 10-14 years old.
Classes start on October 23 and run for one week (until October 27).
